Buford
Buford has so much to offer while still holding on to its small town charm. Founded in 1872 as a rail depot, it is now home to 12,225 residents, within 17 square miles, and one of the state’s major power sources, the Buford Dam.
There are over 8 miles of hiking trails, 5 city parks and an 83-acre community center, Bogan Park, which has an aquatics center, a dance studio, baseball fields, sand volleyball and basketball courts. Buford still provides that big city feeling with tons of shopping at the Mall of Georgia, over 200 stores and an IMAX Theater, and family entertainment such as The Gwinnett Braves and Lake Lanier Islands. And if you want an even bigger city feel, you are only 40 minutes from downtown Atlanta and Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.
Locally owned restaurants and shops guarantee that community feeling where you are remembered and will always feel at home in Buford.
